Standing before the pyramids of Giza and the colossal temples of Abu Simbel, I was struck by the extraordinary achievements of a civilization thousands of years old. Yet some of my most memorable moments came from simply watching life unfold along the Nile, where the rhythms of everyday life seem almost timeless. Egypt was a remarkable journey through both history and the present.
